Is an Adjustment of Status Right for You?
To qualify for AOS in 2026, you must generally meet the following requirements:
Lawful Entry: You must have been inspected and admitted or paroled into the U.S.
Physical Presence: You must be physically present in the U.S. at the time of filing the Form I-485.
Visa Availability: An immigrant visa must be immediately available to you. Immediate relatives (spouses, parents, and unmarried children under 21 of U.S. citizens) can file concurrently with their petition.
The 2026 AOS Process
Concurrent or Sequential Filing: We prepare and file your Form I-130 (Petition) and Form I-485 (Application) concurrently or sequentially.
Mandatory Medical Exams: Per 2026 USCIS updates, Form I-693must be submitted at the time of initial filing to avoid rejection.
Biometrics Appointment: You will attend a local USCIS Application Support Center for fingerprints and photographs within 4–6 weeks of filing.
Employment & Travel Authorization: While your green card application is pending, we secure your authorization to work (Form I-765) and to travel (Form I-131).
The Marriage/Family Interview: Both the sponsor and applicant must attend an in-person interview to verify the genuineness of the relationship.
